I write to you from a cosy cottage nestled between two mountains in Victoria, Australia. Beyond my window a Wattle bird bows beneath the bough of what may be a Cherry Blossom in bud and pulls on a strand of fishing wire; the sound of a bell tinkles below. I wonder how many times this Wattle bird has rung the bell? For me, it was a moment of greater appreciation for all of the bird species and their intelligence, often unknown unless we take the time to watch, listen and grow our awareness.
Chapter Two and Three were recorded on two separate occasions by a dam where an abundance of wildlife sang its wondrous songs. When I began recording the cackle of one or more kookaburras were communicating in the distance; their song never ceases to bring a smile.
