When I found a spot away from the wind to record Chapter Four ~ Real Connection, I first headed toward the dam - wrong way. So I ventured to the bottom of the hillside and sat on the log - not quite right. I then pivoted to sit on the ground and positioned my laptop on the log - ahhh, just right. It amuses me that when listening ever deeper to my own nature and nature’s natural spaces where I am drawn to be that I can feel like Goldilocks from the Three Bears!
Only when I had finished recording Chapter Four did I see a line of ants waiting patiently for me to move my laptop out of the way so they could continue along the fallen log… ‘Sorry!’
There was also a pretty flower nearby… at home and completely natural in its environment.
This house and pet sit will end soon and then I will be back on the Western Port Peninsula near the sea… maybe you will join me for the chapters I may record there.

Chapter Five ~ Freedom in the Stillness
The only way to avoid the wind was to jump out of bed at 5am and venture down to the dam to record amongst this morning’s early birdsong. Why hadn’t I done this before, I wondered? While it was bitterly cold, the sounds: ducks, birdsong, flies, nearby creek and dam depicted life in all its radiance.
